Energy has had a presence in the Permian Basin since the mid-1990s, but
became far more involved in the basin with its acquisition of Wolfberry tight
oil assets in late 2006. The acquisition provided the necessary critical mass
to open a regional office in Midland, Texas. More recently, the Company has
shifted its focus to other areas of the Permian basin, including more recently
acquired acreage in the northern Midland basin where the Company is focused on
delineating Mississippian lime acreage.
