Dean A. Lutey

Mr. Lutey was appointed Vice President – Chief Information Officer of SM Energy in April 2021, having previously served as Vice President – Information Technology since May 2013 and Director of Information Technology since January 2009. He joined SM Energy as the Manager of Production Services in June 2008.

Mr. Lutey has more than 28 years of experience in information technology. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Lutey was with Chesapeake Energy Corporation, serving as the Manager of IT Service Delivery since 2007. Prior to Chesapeake Energy Corporation, Mr. Lutey was with ConocoPhillips, serving as the Director of Technical Information Systems since 2006. Prior to ConocoPhillips, Mr. Lutey was with Burlington Resources and served in several roles of increasing responsibility since 1995.
