Patrick A. Lytle

Mr. Lytle was appointed Vice President-Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of SM Energy in April 2021, having previously served as Controller and Principal Accounting Officer since November 2018. Mr. Lytle has served in roles of increasing responsibility including Senior Director, Director of Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis and Assistant Secretary. Mr. Lytle joined SM Energy in 2007 as an accounting professional.

Mr. Lytle has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Lytle was with Hiratsuka & Schmitt, LLP as an Audit Manager.

Mr. Lytle currently serves as the Chair of the Accounting Advisory Council at the University of Colorado Denver, the Chair of the Accounting Advisory Board at Regis University and on the Accounting Accreditation Policy Committee of the AACSB.
