Jason Sands

Mr. Sands was appointed Vice President – Human Resources of SM Energy in January 2024, having previously served as Sr. Director – Human Resources throughout 2023. Mr. Sands joined SM Energy in May 2011 and has served in several roles of increasing responsibility prior to his joining the Human Resources group, primarily in Accounting, Reporting and Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Mr. Sands has 20 years of experience. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Sands was with Grant Thornton from 2006 to 2011 in various audit and assurance roles.
